Happy enough just to have one another, four chicken siblings live in a place where they are grateful for the man with a rough voice who brings them food and provides them with their cramped shelter. But when he orders the chickens to leave one cold winter day, they must search for a new home. Relying on one another and their trust in God, the chickens embark on a series of adventures before finding the true meaning of home.

Based on real-life events, the chickens’ distinct personalities add humor and entertainment to every page. Readers journey along with them as they keep their positive outlook, teaching us  that God answers prayer and that our home is more about who we share it with than a specific location.

What an inspirational story. Parents and Children alike will absolutely love the journey that these chickens go through to find their forever home. The children will also enjoy the search of the little bird throughout the book. Wonderful book, a must buy!

Such a heartwarming story that both children and grownups will simply adore! The chickens have such fun personalities that shine throughout. I love love love all the little details that connect the story with the illustrations. Many life lessons (including kindness, compassion for others/animals, family, thankfulness and trusting the process to name a few) are subtly intertwined throughout this endearing endeavor of four chickens finding their way and embracing it all together. The cardinal on every page is also such a fun touch for young children. You’ll definitely want to add this beautiful story to your home library!!

Such a cute story with thoughtful illustrations and message. We need more inspirational books for children like this one and can’t wait to share it with my family and friends. I hope Dawn writes more books like this one…she’s got talent!

My kids and I are obsessed with this story! It’s become our favorite! The details, the story line, and all of the lessons included truly make this book a must have!! From trusting in god, to kindness, and the love of family, it all really pieces the story together perfectly and reminds us to trust in god in all things we do, and to always be kind no matter what.
