Healey Ikerd is a licensed psychotherapist, army veteran, mom, and grandma. She has always loved to use stories to help children learn and grow in their imagination and self-awareness. Inspired by her mom’s childhood stories and her love for Jesus, she wrote The Red Ball.  Healey and her husband, along with their Mini Aussie, live on a small farm in Arkansas. Together they enjoy caring for their goats and chickens, traveling, and spending time with family.
