Dear Diary

What if Bible study felt more like coffee with a friend than a classroom lecture? In Dear Diary, Candace Pope invites readers to step into the stories of Scripture and imagine what the people within them might have felt, feared, and prayed. Through creative, heartfelt diary entries from biblical men and women, readers are encouraged to slow down, listen, and rediscover the joy of hearing God’s voice in His Word. Both lighthearted and deeply reflective, Dear Diary transforms Bible reading into a personal, joy-filled conversation with the Author Himself.

Product Description

What if you could sit down with Abigail, Ruth, or Nicodemus and listen to their hearts?

In Dear Diary, author Candace Pope invites you to experience the Bible in a refreshingly personal way, through the imagined diary entries of real people who lived the stories you’ve read for years. Each entry takes you beyond the facts into the emotions, struggles, and faith of men and women who encountered God in the middle of ordinary life.

Rather than racing through Scripture or studying from a distance, Dear Diary encourages you to slow down and read between the lines—to wonder, to listen, and to let God speak. With humor, warmth, and heartfelt reflection, Candace shows how Bible reading can feel less like a task and more like a conversation with a dear friend.

Whether you’re new to Bible study or simply craving something more meaningful, Dear Diary will rekindle your curiosity and joy in God’s Word. You’ll walk away reminded that the same God who met them—meets you too.

About the Author

Image
Candace Pope is a retired registered nurse, entrepreneur, and Bible study leader whose love for people and passion for God’s Word shine through every page she writes. She loves to experience the Bible not as a textbook, but as a two-way conversation with God.  Her own faith has been forged through hardship: walking beside a teenage son diagnosed with leukemia, and later grieving the loss of her daughter to addiction. Yet through every heartbreak, Candace has learned to hold fast to joy—the kind that comes from knowing Jesus is in control, even when life is not.  Now retired in South Carolina, she fills her days with laughter, golf, neighborhood gatherings, and encouraging others to discover the fun and freedom of faith. Her debut book, Dear Diary, reflects her heart for helping readers slow down, imagine themselves in Scripture, and fall in love with God’s Word all over again
