With over 30 years of experience in clinical neurophysiology, a bachelor’s degree, and a published scientific study, she now encourages others through her vulnerability, offering hope through her own journey.

Just read the book, and can’t say enough good things! Here are a few:

For anyone diagnosed with cancer asking: “Why me?” (and who wouldn’t?) this book is for you. When you read and walk alongside Susan for 117 days of her cancer journey, you realize that you’re not alone – even when you are – because God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you.

Dear God I Have Cancer is for any Christian facing cancer or for anyone with cancer who is seeking to find faith and hope amidst a devastating diagnosis. Reading it is like an encouraging phone call, a warm hug from a dear friend who “gets you,” and serves as a
healing balm to the soul for anyone facing a cancer diagnosis- the uncertainty, the pain – both emotional and physical, not to mention the roller coaster ride of emotions. Walk alongside the author Susan as she battles (and overcomes!) cancer with the strength and hope of God, who comforted her. You are not alone.

It’s real, raw, honest and refreshing – just when you feel you can’t go on. Read it straight through or pick it up and read what you need. Deeply moving, it’s delivered in daily devotional format with a story, scriptures and prayer. Like medicine for the soul!

This book ends on a cliffhanger which is so apropos to life with cancer – the questioning, the uncertainty, the doubt. But it also ends in triumph because the author, Susan wrestles with God, surrenders to God’s will and comes to the realization that for believers in Christ, our lives on earth are for God’s glory and that we have the hope of heaven. And, as written in “about the author,” we find that she not only survives, but thrives and finds the time to write a book to help others.

With my religious upbringing, we never prayed like I see demonstrated in this book. I was literally brought to tears knowing that this book will help guide me to create original and spontaneous heartfelt prayers. This is something I wanted for so so long! If you are looking to enrich your prayer life, this book is a must read!
