Description

Everything was perfect in Becky’s life: a loving husband, a brand-new home, and plans to have a baby.
Then a doctor told them: “I don’t know if you will ever be able to conceive a child.”
In an instant, Becky’s dreams, plans, and optimism were shattered and deep disappointment settled in her soul.

In Faithful: An Unexpected Journey to Motherhood, Becky Graham shares her journey as she trusted anotherAuthor to write her storyline. As she remained faithful by trusting God to write her story instead of insisting on writing it herself she saw and experienced God’s faithfulness to her.

We have all faced detours that threatened to derail us from trusting God. As you read Becky’s brave and vulnerable story, be inspired to embrace the grief that comes with the loss of a dream, overcome your fears when God asks you take leaps of faith, and learn lifelong lessons for staying mentally, physically and spiritually healthy.
Your journey may be unexpected, like Becky’s journey, but one thing is for certain: He is always faithful.

Faithful is the story of one couple’s journey of perseverance and surrender to God’s perfect plan for their lives. Through physical, mental, and spiritual struggle, Becky learned to trust her heavenly Father with every ounce of her being. His faithfulness was stronger and more evident in her faithfulness to Him. Becky does a great job at welcoming the reader into her world, giving us an easy-to-read inside look at her journey to motherhood. It’s a touching and inspiring memoir.

Becky captured my interest in the very first chapter. Maybe it was because her story parallels mine and my daughters. I found myself experiencing the gamete of emotions. At moments I was laughing which turned to serious contemplation and then many tears. Tears of sadness, grief and hope. Becky has a beautiful way of inviting her audience into her life. I found I couldn’t put the book down as I read each and every chapter. I would highly recommend this book for those who are traveling the journey of infertility.

“….the most important thing any mom can give her baby is a calm, happy, healthy, and relaxed mom.”, no truer words were ever spoken. Great words of wisdom from Becky’s mom!Thank you, Becky, for sharing your story in all its gritty details. For being brave enough to talk about the toll that infertility can take on your marriage, your emotions and your mind. Like it or not, the effect that hormones have on our bodies, minds and mental health is very real. Add in the stress of “is this the month”, EVERY MONTH and it gets to be overwhelming. Becky openly shares her journey through, courtship, marriage, infertility and adoption. It is a great read on God’s faithfulness and how HE orchestrates our own perfect ending to our story.

What a joy to read! It left me wanting the rest of the story! Becky shares the painful journey of unmet expectations and the broken dreams of infertility. As a therapist, I appreciate Becky’s honesty and vulnerability at the debilitating side of clinical depression and the commitment to personal health despite grief and loss. I especially love her journey with God through her story, reminding the reader that His plan is good in His time. This book is a must read for anyone needing hope in the land of broken dreams.

The way Becky Graham tells her story with gut-wrenching (and sometimes humorous!) honesty, makes this book hard to put down! In Faithful, I was allowed, in one night on my couch, to experience a beautiful love story, the loss of a friend, the pain of infertility, the loneliness of a pilot’s wife, the diagnosis of clinical depression and the subsequent comfort and miraculous provision of a God who was always in control. And the greatest gift is that I was able to reap the benefit of all the lessons Becky learned the hard way, apply them to my own struggles, and receive the comfort with which she was comforted. “…who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4. I believe this story has the potential to reach out and bless all who are currently in the thick of the struggle or ever will be.

I just finished reading Becky Graham’s book, Faithful. What a beautiful and encouraging story of God’s faithfulness and perfect timing. It’s a nicely written testimony of God working behind the scenes when we don’t see a way. If you need to be encouraged to follow God’s plan or to wait on Him, pick up a copy of this true story. It’s an easy read. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. Thank you for sharing Becky.
