With candor and wit, Carole shares her thoughts on faith, family, and growing up in the Midwestern town of Ottawa, Illinois. Columns include interviews with local citizens, grandmas at the Y, Grumpie at the Weenie Wagon, and a group of seniors known as the “Hardee bunch.” Looking back, she recalls becoming a grandmother for the first time, her initial forays into writing, and the first time she and her husband claimed the “senior discount.”

I’ve been around Christian publishing since 1987 when I helped our ministry self-publish an important resource for Vietnam veterans and their families. That book went on to be picked up by a royalty publisher and has since sold over 250,000 copies with a million in print.

“Carole’s Columns” is a great read: entertaining and full of interesting information. TheAuthor has expressed herself in a thoughtful, often humorous way. You can tell by her writing that she is a very special lady.
