Against the Odds

From enduring bullying as an adolescent, to suffering from discrimination by colleagues in the military, Chaplain Marva Nyema allowed those hardships to strengthen her heart for ministry. Among many accomplishments, Chaplain Nyema received an ordination in the Church of God in Christ and the distinction of becoming the first minority chaplain in the Washington Air National Guard. She served in Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and as missionary in Ghana, Haiti, and Liberia, to name just a few. Against the Odds will inspire those who face similar circumstances and those who wish to prepare for challenges yet to come.
