Ellen has just received a letter from a lawyer in Chicago informing her that she has inherited a house in Chicago from a great aunt. She knows nothing about any great aunt or Chicago. She’s sure it is a scam. She lives in Portland and has no intention of leaving… until her apartment is being sold, and she must buy it or move.
Derek is a successful lawyer practicing in Portland. He has one drink too many and is charged with a DUII. He is sure he will be fired. Part of the course requires 100 hours of community service, which he will fulfill at a church… Ellen’s church.
Colleen has told Ted, the man she loves, she can’t marry him. He is not a believer. Her heart is broken. She knows she will see him at her friend’s wedding, as she is maid of honor and he is best man. But how can they say goodbye again?
Ted is devastated by his break with Colleen. As a concert pianist, he throws himself into taking on more concerts to fill the time. He is hoping at the wedding in September he will have a chance to talk to Colleen. He is seeking God… but will he find Him?
