Dr. Gary D. Mitchell, executive director and dean at Wayland Baptist University in Clovis, New Mexico, and former pastor, holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of North Texas, a master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. A former senior staff writer for the Clovis News Journal, he is the author of a weekly column, as well as two previous books, and lives in Clovis with his wife Judy, along with their three dogs, several barn cats, and two goats.
