Mary Dixon resides in Indiana with her husband. She taught school for 28 years in the Mt. Vernon School District before retiring in 2001. While teaching, she was a Cooperative Learning trainer, a Project Charlie (drug intervention program) trainer, a 30-year member of the Phi Delta Kappa, Poetry Club sponsor, and a poetry competition coach.
