Share the Story Behind Your Book’s Dedication

This Week’s Tip: Share the Story Behind Your Book’s Dedication

Your book’s dedication page may only take up a few lines, and honestly, many readers flip past it without a second thought.

But that’s exactly why sharing it outside the book can be so powerful, because when people pause long enough to hear the story behind those few words, it stops them. It draws them closer. It’s a subtle, authentic way to let them see your heart before they even reach the first chapter.

Here’s What to Do This Week:

Take a clear photo of your dedication page (or design a simple graphic in Canva).

Write 2–3 heartfelt sentences explaining why you chose that person or group. You don’t have to share every detail—just enough for readers to feel the weight of those words.

Post it on social media, in your email newsletter, or both. You could say something like: “Before the first page, there’s a story worth telling. This book is dedicated to my grandmother, who prayed me through every season and taught me what grace looks like.”

Invite engagement. End with a question like: “Who would you dedicate a book to if you wrote one?”

This Week’s Tip: Pin Your Best Testimonial to the Top
You’ve probably shared a glowing review or two on your feed. But here’s the problem: Social media moves fast.
What you posted last week? Buried.
What someone said months ago? Practically invisible.

And yet, that one powerful testimonial — the one that made you tear up, the one that captured exactly why your book matters — deserves to be seen.

That’s why this week’s tip is so simple (and so smart):

Pin your best endorsement to the top of your social feed.

Whether it’s a Facebook post, Instagram reel, tweet, or YouTube short … Make your most compelling reader feedback the first thing visitors see.

This Week’s Tip: Match your book to the moment with a themed mini-campaign

Your readers move through the year with shifting needs, emotions, and rhythms — whether they realize it or not.

They’re craving purpose in September.

They make space for growth in the back-to-school season.

They embrace gratitude in November.

They reflect and reset in January.

They long for healing, renewal, or connection in times that already carry emotional weight.

When you speak directly into what your readers are already feeling, your message resonates more deeply—and your book feels timely, personal, and meaningful.

That’s why this week’s tip is all about showing up with relevance, not pressure.
