Verna J Pollock

Verna J. Pollock grew up in British Columbia, and was trained as nurse, and attended Bible college for a year before moving to Alaska. At Minfield Children’s Home near Juneau, she met her husband Ken, a maintenance man and relief supervisor. Later the couple returned to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where they raised their family, a daughter and three sons. Verna was employed by the Veteran’s Administration for twenty-six years, involved with Christian Women’s Connection as a speaker and local chairperson, and became a U. S. citizen when her oldest son entered the USAF.
