Shelley Picard
Shelley Picard is no stranger to the stage or the page. For over fifty years she has been a performer, writer, and playwright, with award-winning scripts produced by community and semi-professional theatre groups in British Columbia. Her career as a travel consultant spanned three decades, taking groups around the world and embodying her favorite quote from St. Augustine: “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.”
But in 2016, Shelley’s life was changed in an instant when a fall on a tour in Spain left her with a traumatic brain injury. What followed was a grueling journey of physical recovery and an even deeper spiritual renewal. Her memoir, Broken Brain, shares that story with raw honesty and unwavering hope, encouraging others to see God’s presence even in the darkest valleys.
Shelley lives in Abbotsford, British Columbia, where she continues to write, perform, and inspire.
