What Goes Through a Preschooler’s Mind? You’d be Surprised. Parents and grandparents of preschoolers have a problem. Preschoolers think differently than adults. The result is miscommunication, misunderstanding, and missed opportunities to connect with the kids we love. The good news is you can understand your preschooler like never before by reading the advice that Lori, a fictional four-year-old, gives her baby brother every Tuesday when her grandparents babysit. Because this book is written from a child’s perspective, it offers fresh solutions that other parenting books don’t. The short chapters fit in your busy life, Lori’s insights will surprise you, the practical tips really work, and the humor will keep you reading. You’ll learn: How your preschooler thinks, and how you should respond. Family-tested solutions to thorny adult-child conflicts. Practical tips drawn from many parents and grandparents. “An entertaining and unusual look at life through the eyes of a bright and sensitive four-year-old. Lori provides some useful and unexpected insights for parents.” Dr. Tom Phelan, best-sellingAuthor of “1-2-3 Magic: Effective Discipline for Children 2-12” “As a grandmother of six ‘young theologians,’ I warmed to the lessons that Lori teaches. What a clever and amusing way to have our grandparenting and parenting skills examined and honed! This is a wonderful gift for parents and grandparents.” Jane Patete, Women’s Ministries Coordinator, Presbyterian Church in America.
I've been around Christian publishing since 1987 when I helped our ministry self-publish an important resource for Vietnam veterans and their families. That book went on to be picked up by a royalty publisher and has since sold over 250,000 copies with a million in print.

Are you eager to write your first book? Perhaps you’ve launched one book but have an idea for a second or a third. If you’re uncertain what the next step looks like on the path from concept to completed manuscript, we can help.
Our Jumpstart! class explores subjects such as finding inspiration, sorting through ideas, how to begin, using personal examples, writing a powerful opening, avoiding writer’s block, and other useful topics. It will orient you toward publishing success.
Please join us for this friendly, informative four-week clinic, where aspiring and established writers receive warm, online professional group coaching to help them get started.
Okay, you’ve got a book underway, or your idea is at the ready. Excellent! But sometimes, as you write, you wonder, is this going any place? Am I doing this right? Maybe you have writer’s block or would like professional guidance and encouragement to help you progress through your manuscript.
We can do that!
Our six-week program consists of the coach and the author putting their heads together and taking the book from the idea, or beginning, stages, through a completed framework for the book. The coach guides the author through each week’s writing and preparation and returns the author’s submission with thorough, encouraging, and detailed notes. The following day, the coach and author meet online or by phone to discuss the week’s work, clarify anything that needs explanation, brainstorm solutions, and build the author’s confidence.
We like to make custom recommendations based on your manuscript and message, so it helps us to learn more about you and actually review the manuscript in order to come up with a publishing strategy.
