Meet the Guests

Athena Dean Holtz is a publisher, speaker, author, podcaster, bookstore owner, pastor’s wife and former radio host. For over 30 years, she has worked in the book business, spearheading the independent publishing movement in the Christian market. In 2014, Athena co-founded Redemption Press to fill an author-centered niche in publishing. Her heart is to help authors find creative ways to reach readers. In 2018, that included the Women of Joy Tour, and in 2019, the She Writes for Him compilation was birthed. In 2020, the ALL THINGS weekly podcast launched to spotlight Redemption Press authors, and a number of She Writes for Him initiatives are being birthed.

Cynthia Cavanaugh is the author of multiple books and the award-winning author of Anchored: Leading Through the Storms by New Hope Publishers which focuses on leading with godly integrity amid adversity and Live Bold: A Devotional Journal to Strengthen Your Soul with Redemption Press. In addition to writing and teaching, she is a freelance editor for new authors, providing content coaching and cooperative rewrites for Redemption Press along with working as a strategic marketing coach.

Andrea Tomassi is the co-author of Live Bold (Redemption Press), along with Cynthia Nichols Cavanaugh, which won a Selah Award for best devotional in 2019. She represented Redemption when the company served as sponsors for the Women of Joy Tour in 2018. Part of her job description will be to represent the partner publisher at conferences, such as the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference, SpeakUp, and She Speaks.

Dori Harrell is a multiple award-winning writer, editor, author coach, speaker at writers’ and editors’ conferences, and lover of red licorice. Dori also owns Breakout Editing and edits for indie authors and publishers, including Kregel Publications and Gemma Halliday Publishing. As an editor, she releases more than twenty books a year. Meet the Publisher

I've been around Christian publishing since 1987 when I helped our ministry self-publish an important resource for Vietnam veterans and their families. That book went on to be picked up by a royalty publisher and has since sold over 250,000 copies with a million in print.

I'm glad you're here…stop by often and take advantage of all the information we make available.
