Writing Wise: Finish What You Started
Starting something new can be exciting. Finishing it takes perseverance.
Somewhere between the first spark of an idea and the final page, writing can become difficult. The inspiration fades. Doubt creeps in. Another idea catches your attention. Before long, the manuscript God once placed so clearly on your heart is sitting unfinished.
But not every difficult season is a sign to stop.
Sometimes faithfulness looks like returning to the work in front of you. One paragraph. One chapter. One small step at a time.
You don’t have to finish everything today. You simply need to be faithful with the next step.
Maybe your manuscript needs another chapter. Maybe it’s time to finish those revisions or finally send your work to someone you trust. Ask God what moving forward looks like in this season, then give your attention to that next step.
The excitement that helped you begin may not be what carries you to the finish. Perseverance will.
Keep going. The message God entrusted to you is worth finishing.
