Dawn Scott Damon is an award-winning author, speaker, singer/songwriter, and “freedom coach.” An ordained minister with the Wesleyan Church, Dawn is the lead pastor of Tribes, a multicultural church in Rockford, MI, ministering to every generation. The founder of FreedomGirl Sisterhood conference and radio broadcast, she blogs at freedomgirlsisterhood.com. Dawn and her husband, Paul, have five children between them and eleven grandchildren. They live in the Rockford area.

Guest Bio

Tammy Trent became a familiar voice on Christian Radio in 1995 with hit songs, such as “Welcome Home”, “Run To The Cross”, “My Irreplaceable” & “Rain On Me” that have brought life and hope to her many listeners, but on September 11th, 2001 her songs ceased for a time. Tammy stepped away from the spotlight to heal after the tragic death of her husband and childhood sweetheart while on a missions trip. That day would change the world forever. That day changed Tammy forever. 
One year later she returned as featured speaker and performer at the Extraordinary Women’s conference and was also asked to share the Women of Faith platform for 4 years with her friends Sheila Walsh, Patsy Clairmont, Carol Kent, Kathy Troccoli, Anita Renfroe and Luci Swindoll. During that time Tammy also became a featured speaker, singer and author for The Revolve Tour for teen girls for 2 years. Her personal story of tragedy, restoration, healing and hope crossed over generational lines and her music inspired all ages, bringing strength and renewed joy. 

International Author, Speaker, and Pastor, Dawn Scott (Jones) Damon was born in Holland, Michigan to advertising and marketing entrepreneurs, Jim and Cleo Scott, grew up in Grand Rapids, MI, and began her ministry and writing career after finding freedom and healing from the childhood trauma of sexual abuse. Dawn’s first book, “When A Woman You Love Was Abused: A Husband’s Guide to helping her overcome childhood sexual molestation,” won the Reader’s Favorite Gold Medal Award in 2013. Dawn’s second book, “When The Woman Abused Was You: A Guide to Healing from Childhood Sexual Abuse,” released in 2017, earned her a 5-Star rating from Readers’ Favorite. Her most recent book is the Freedom Challenge, a 60 day immersion in the Word of God (Redemption Press). Dawn is a favorite keynote speaker at Women’s Conferences, bringing in-depth teaching along with heartfelt honesty, laced with side-splitting laughter. Dawn Scott Damon resides in Rockford, MI with the love of her life, husband Paul.
