Chuck Nelson was born in Marfa, Texas, and raised on a cattle ranch in northern California. His law enforcement career began while he was still attending Sacramento State College. Following his retirement from a twenty-eight-year career with the Oakland Police Department, he worked for five years for the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Police Department. His primary hobby is photography, and he sells his work online and through several galleries. In addition to Signs and Wonders, Chuck has authored three other books: Life at The End of a Dirt Road, Why I am a Creationist: A Layman’s Perspective, and Wearing the Blue. Married for fifty-five years, Chuck recently lost his dear wife and best friend following her ten-year battle with Alzheimer’s. They have one daughter, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
I’ve been around Christian publishing since 1987 when I helped our ministry self-publish an important resource for Vietnam veterans and their families. That book went on to be picked up by a royalty publisher and has since sold over 250,000 copies with a million in print.
I’m glad you’re here…stop by often and take advantage of all the information we make available.
