Reach Out to One Podcast—And Offer to Serve Their Audience

This Week’s Tip: Reach Out to One Podcast—And Offer to Serve Their Audience

Truth is … you don’t need a big platform or a publicist to make a big impact. Trust meit's true!

One of the best ways to reach new readers is to leverage someone else’s audienceespecially when that audience is already gathered and listening.

That’s exactly what happens when you show up on a podcast as a guest.

But here’s the key: don’t pitch your book—offer your message. Speak to a need. Serve from your heart.

???? Here’s What to Do This Week:

1. Find one podcast that serves your ideal reader. (But, for more insight, be sure to read our p.s. below )

Search for shows on topics related to your message (grief, marriage, healing, parenting, ministry, etc.). Look for ones that feature guest interviews—not just solo episodes. Check their episode titles or guest list to see if your story or topic would resonate with their audience. This isn’t about self-promotion. It’s about kingdom partnership.

2. Reach out with this simple, heartfelt message that sounds something like this:

Hi [Podcast Host Name],
I’ve been really blessed by your podcast and the way you serve your audience. I’m the author of a book called [Book Title], and the heart of it is [brief message].

I’d love to offer a conversation around [topic] that could really serve your listeners—especially those walking through [pain point or season].

If you're open to guest interviews, I’d be honored to share more.

3. If they say yes?

Show up with humility. Share your story, not your stats. And keep the focus on the audience, not the sale. The book will follow naturally.

???? Why This Works:

  • You’re leveraging someone else’s audience—with purpose. Instead of trying to build from scratch, you’re stepping into a space where trust and connection already exist.

  • You’re showing up to serve—not to sell. And that posture builds credibility fast. When people connect with your heart, they naturally want to know more.

  • Podcasts create space for meaningful conversation. No scrolling, no swiping—just thoughtful listeners who are more likely to take action when your message resonates.

Try it this week! A single podcast appearance could introduce your book to hundreds—or even thousands—of readers who need your message.
