Boost Book Sales with One Simple Ask
This Week’s Tip: Boost Book Sales with One Simple Ask
Want to get your book into more hands? Build a crowd on Amazon.
When shoppers see a book with 100+ reviews, it immediately signals value and interest—like a crowd gathering around a hot new restaurant. We’re wired to notice what others are noticing. That’s why more reviews often lead to more sales.
???? Here’s What to Do This Week:
1. Set your next review goal.
If you're under 100 reviews, aim to cross that milestone. Already there? Go for 250, 500, or beyond!
2. Ask—clearly and kindly.
Post on social, add it to your email signature, or send a personal message like one of these:
“If the message in my book resonated with you, would you help extend its reach? A short Amazon review helps others discover the hope inside these pages.”
“Your voice matters. If you found value in this book, would you take a moment to share a review? It helps more than you know.”
“Have 2 minutes? A quick review on Amazon would be such a gift. Just a few words can make a huge impact!
3. Make it easy.
Include the direct link to your Amazon review page. Bonus points if you guide them with a prompt like:“What stood out to you?” or “Who would benefit most from this book?”
Quick Note #2: Reviews on other sites like Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, or even your own website can help too—but Amazon remains the primary platform where readers make buying decisions. Building your crowd there gives your book the best chance to stand out.
???? Why This Works:
-
Amazon’s algorithm favors books with more reviews. More reviews = more chances for Amazon to recommend your book to new readers through the “Customers also bought” and “You might like” sections.
-
Reviews help readers decide faster. When someone is on the fence, seeing real feedback—especially from people in similar life seasons—helps them hit “Buy Now” with confidence.
- It strengthens your message’s credibility outside your circle. A consistent flow of reviews tells new readers, “This isn’t just a good book—it’s a meaningful one that’s making an impact.”
Remember: People are drawn to crowds. So let’s get your book gathering one!

Until next week...
