Susan N. Perelka graduated from Cedarville College with an associate’s degree in office technology and a bachelor’s degree in Bible comprehensive. She has attended Northfield Baptist Church for thirty years where she serves as church secretary. Susan and her husband, Greg, have been married for thirty-one years and have three adult sons and one daughter. She lives in Northeast Ohio surrounded by the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where she often enjoys walking. Multiple times Queen Esther was called upon to step forward in faith knowing what could take place. Through time spent with God, she knew that even if her life was lost, following God was the only option for her. She could rest in His plan for herself and her people knowing that whatever took place, God’s purpose would be accomplished.
Knowing the situation only gives knowledge. Knowing God gives quiet confidence and trust in Him.
Our life is a continuous journey of learning to trust Him. Every difficulty crossing our path gives us a choice of where we will place our trust. Every choice to trust God deepens our level of faith in Him.
God knows what needs to take place in our lives to fulfill the purpose He has for each of us. We cannot always see ahead in His plan, we cannot always know His purpose, but like Abram, God calls us to simply trust.
We can be assured God will use the information He has given us to lead us through what needs to take place for His purpose to be fulfilled.
When God calls you to do a task, He gives you everything you need to fulfill His purposes. All God needs is your willingness to be used as the beautifully created vessel He made you. God uses each of you.
God often asks us to take these steps of faith, because He knows what those steps will produce in those around us. The strength of our faith may cause people crossing our path to take a step leading to Him. Your involvement with people around you, even asking for their help, may be just the help they need to see God.
We need to see God through the lens of His truth. We need to always remember we have a never-changing God in complete control of both ever-changing and never-changing circumstances. When His plan becomes your plan, you follow God obediently regardless of where that plan takes you.
