Match your book to the moment with a themed mini-campaign

This Week’s Tip: Match your book to the moment with a themed mini-campaign

Your readers move through the year with shifting needs, emotions, and rhythms — whether they realize it or not.

  • They’re craving purpose in September.

  • They make space for growth in the back-to-school season.

  • They embrace gratitude in November.

  • They reflect and reset in January.

  • They long for healing, renewal, or connection in times that already carry emotional weight.

When you speak directly into what your readers are already feeling, your message resonates more deeply—and your book feels timely, personal, and meaningful.

That’s why this week’s tip is all about showing up with relevance, not pressure.

???? Here’s What to Do This Week:

1. Choose a theme that fits your book.
Look ahead to the next 30–60 days. What’s coming up that your message naturally connects to?
Think:

  • Back-to-school

  • Emotional Wellness Month (October)

  • Thanksgiving

  • Advent or year-end reflection

2. Identify what your reader needs in that season—and where your book speaks to it. Ask yourself:

  • What is my ideal reader feeling in this moment?

  • What chapter, theme, or story in my book speaks to that need?
(Examples: a message of peace for overwhelmed moms, a devotional for slowing down before the holidays, or a gratitude story for November.)

3. Build a simple 3-day mini campaign: It doesn’t have to be complicated—just intentional:

  • Day 1 – Post or Email: Share a personal story or excerpt from your book that connects to the season.

  • Day 2 – Engagement: Ask a thoughtful, seasonal question like: “What’s one thing you’re hoping for this fall?”

  • Day 3 – Offer: Share a timely incentive—like a signed copy, a printable download, or a small bundle—to encourage action.

???? Why This Works:

  • Seasonal moments invite reflection, creating space for meaningful engagement.

  • When you show up with purpose and timing, your message gently rises above the noise.

  •  It helps readers see how your book speaks into what they’re walking through right now.

You don’t need a big launch. Just one thoughtful, timely moment that helps your book connect with hearts—and stay top of mind.

Try it this week, or ... this month. One moment. One message. One mini-campaign.

You might be surprised at the ripple effect.

Cheering you on,
Shelly, Athena & Carol
