Rejection in all its painful forms can cause you to question your worth, doubt your value, and leave you wondering, Am I enough? Its effects can be pervasive and set up residence in your soul, eventually robbing you of your confidence, leaving you striving to please, inducing fear and anxiety, and creating deep wounds of shame and inadequacy.
Weary of her relentless pursuit of acceptance and her unrelenting fear of rejection, Jessica Van Roekel reached her breaking point and finally asked God to set her free from the bondage of fear of rejection. She wrote Reframing Rejection to share the biblical principles God revealed to her that led her to renounce rejection’s tyranny in her life and reframe her perspective. Through Jessica’s vulnerable personal stories, hard-won insight, biblical examples and Scripture, Reframing Rejection will lead you to freedom, healing, and peace as you discover the joy of walking in the fullness of who God created you to be. Each chapter ends with Scripture to study, questions for reflection, and a focus verse.
Writing this book is a life mission for Jessica. She wrote it for anyone who faces doors that open slowly or not at all, where difficulty marks their life journey, and for those who have felt the sting of a brush-off, cold shoulder, or have been canceled (the practice or tendency of engaging in mass canceling as a way of expressing disapproval and exerting social pressure.) Her desire with this book is to guide her reader to a redemptive view so they can rebuff, refuse, and renounce rejection’s efforts, influence, and effects. To accomplish this goal, Jessica needs to raise $4000 and has created six different donation levels.
By helping Jessica fund her mission, you will help launch Reframing Rejection into the hands of those whose hearts need the reassurance that their life matters despite the naysayers and gives them a guide through rejection’s minefields so that they have the tools to deal with past, present, or future experiences of rejection. Rejection impacts our maturity in Christ and unity in the Church because we experience it in ministry, the workplace, and our relationships.

Reframing Rejection will intersect a world marked by cancel culture and the division caused by disregard and dismissal. With its focus on using the lens of God’s truth to inspect each rejection, her readers will be encouraged to seek the Lord and grow into a brighter reflection of Him to a weary world. Jessica offers Reframing Rejection as a response to and a path through the pain rejection causes in your relationships with others, yourself, and God.
God took my upside-down understanding of rejection and replaced it with His view that brought me life instead of despair. If He can do it for me, I know He can do it for you. Will you join me? Thank-you for considering donating to this project. ~Jessica
