Description
For Paul and Susan Maniford, life in Blue Hills, Texas, has never been dull. Still, they are surprised when “Hobo Steve” mysteriously disappeared, shows up on their doorstep with his son, needing a place to live. Soon after that, Judy, a widow with haunting memories, moves back to town. Although Steve and Judy are both recovering from past hurts and desire to live uprightly, their budding friendship may cause them to struggle to remain faithful to the commitments they’ve already made. Then young Chrissie, who is unexpectedly pregnant, comes to town in desperate need of tender love. A young family who loves their God, their family and their community finds themselves entwined with the lives of the people in their community who have come to love and trust them for guidance. This is a beautiful book full of beautiful souls seeking to know and do God’s will. I loved it, and quickly bought sets for my friends and family.

I love this whole series of books. The problems that this book brought out to show God working in their lives was just so touching. I cried with joy at the way everything worked out. The characters were just so believable and I could relate to their lives. I have lent my copy out several times.

This is the final book in the Quiet series. I liked how it brought back various characters from the first two books and gave us glimpses of how their lives are developing within the new story. Each book stands on its own but its fun to watch characters come and go along the way!
